New Music Video: "Young Lungs" - Work Drugs

Work Drugs recently dropped their first official album, Delta, earlier this month, which consists of remastered/remixed singles from previous self-released CD-Rs as well as a few new songs. You would think that they'd call it a wrap for 2012. Well, not so fast, because the band is back with a new track called "Young Lungs" that is also accompanied by an "extreme" video. (BTW: We can't help screaming "extreme" like the brahs in Harold & Kumar. Childish? Yes, but also quite entertaining in the most annoying way possible. And we're really high. ;o) The latest offering comes just in time to celebrate the group's 2nd birfday. You can also download it for free HERE. Enjoy!

Free Work Drugs In-store Performance at AKA Music Dec. 7

Work Drugs are holding a free in-store performance at AKA Music this evening to celebrate their first “official” release Delta. The album features remastered/remixed singles from previous self-released CD-Rs as well as a few new singles. The group connects a combination of wispy male/female vocals, with a percussive backbone that provides a framework for a continuously on the move synth pop-rock combination meant for one-on-one action in the dark (or with multiple partners and the lights on if that’s what you are into). It’s quite easy to get sucked in by this street-lit seductively smooth operation. You can also get a second dose of the addictive outfit tomorrow at Ortlieb’s with Shark Tape and Ellis Islands, a project from Work Drugs bassist Nero Catalano. AKA Music, 27 N. 2nd St., 7pm, Free, All Ages - Michael Colavita

New Music Video: “Beyond Greenpoint” - Work Drugs

Here’s a new music video from Work Drugs for their latest single “Beyond Greenpoint.” It was produced by Marco Scago, and is meant to be a reminder to all of us “that there is a scary world outside the bubble that is ‘our world.’ There is more to life than the hipstamatic camera, the microblog, the bearish trust fund, the genetically perfected dog, the $7 coffee, or even the cherished fixed gear bike.” You can download the track for free HERE. Work Drugs have a new album titled Delta scheduled for release in December. They’ll also be performing next in Philly on December 8 at Ortlieb’s Lounge.
