Work Drugs

New Track: "Greener Pastures" - Thomas Crystal

Work Drugs' Thomas Crystal has a new solo project. Below is its first single, the dreamy "Greener Pastures." (Hopefully, this title isn't a hint at what the future holds for Crystal and Work Drugs.) The track will appear on his debut six-song EP Tinders, which is due to drop on May 5.

New Music Video: "My Billie Jean" - Work Drugs

"A tribute to those that light up our worlds." "My Billie Jean" is the second single from Work Drugs' forthcoming LP Louisa, which is scheduled for release this summer. You can stream and download the track for free HERE, and check out the lyric music video that accompanies it below. The smooth-fi outfit will be headlining Johnny Brenda's on Friday, April 25 with support from Tutlie and The Chairman Dances.

New Music Video: "Chase the Night" - Work Drugs

Though electro-pop crew Work Drugs have been taking a break from performing out live in 2015, they just announced a new show on Saturday, April 25 at Johnny Brenda's. They also shared a woozy lyric music video for their new song "Chase the Night." It's the first single from their forthcoming album Louisa, which is due out this summer. You can download the track for free HERE.

Work Drugs Christmas Spectacle at Boot & Saddle Dec. 5

The holiday season is something that puts Work Drugs in the spirit of giving. When the indie-pop band gave away all of their albums for free on Bandcamp during Black Friday, they also released Cayman Islands Volume II, which is a collection of 10 new interpretations of classic Work Drugs singles. With this being the second album that the band released in the past couple of months, they have good reason to be taking a bit of a break, and that's why tonight's Christmas Spectacle will be the bands last show for a bit. However, if their new holiday single, “Nicholas,” is any indication, they're fully poised to make it a Festivus miracle! They'll be joined by the whimsically harmonious Vita and the Woolf, who will be in support of their debut album Fang Song. Boot & Saddle, 1131 S. Broad St., 8pm, $12, 21+ - Bill McThrill

Free Download: Caymen Islands Sessions, Volume II - Work Drugs

Local indie-pop outfit Work Drugs just shared its new album Caymen Islands Sessions, Volume II, which is available for free download. "As a follow up to the first Cayman Islands Sessions, Work Drugs is releasing 10 new interpretations of classic Work Drugs singles. With help from fellow bandmate Nero Catalano and long time guest vocalist Rachel K Haines, new life has been infused into these tracks." The band also made the rest of its music collection available for free download for Black Friday only. Work Drugs will be performing on Friday, December 5 at Boot & Saddle for the group's 3rd annual Christmas Spectacle, and it will be the band's last show for a while.
