Beach Bunny "Painkiller"

Beach Bunny has released a Matt Gehl directed video for their new single “Painkiller”. The new single follows the band’s fun Surf Rock, ’60’s Rock, influenced sound lead by the powerful vocals of Lili Trifilio.

You can catch Beach Bunny at Square Root Chicago this Saturday, July 14th, and at Subterranean on July 31st.

New Track: "Lighthouse" - Katie Ellen

“Lighthouse” kicks off Still Life, the forthcoming EP from Katie Ellen. Gritty, guitar licks interlock with the warm, personal observations of Anika Pyle’s vocals, which are further accentuated by harmony, creating a semi-relaxed, eye-of-the-storm effect. Expressing optimism yet tinged with a sense of loneliness, it tears from both sides, and conveniently ramps up and rips as it reaches its conclusion. Still Life is due out on July 20 via Lauren Records, just in time to accompany the band on tour this summer with Lemuria and Dusk. (Photo by Elena de Soto)

Foreign City

Foreign City is Synth Rock sounds of Nicolas Tiparescu. Back in April he released his debut single “What To Do With You”. The sound reminds us of mid-2000’s band’s like The Bravery or We Are Scientists, and we are definitely on the look out for more from Foreign City.

Nate B. flexes his creativity with "Take U Out" single

Nate B., aka Nathan Bajar, isn't afraid to add honey to your tea. His songs convey a lo-fi funk akin to Bibio but with vocals along the lines of Frank Ocean or Serpentwithfeet. His forthright lyricism envelops your brain like an opium cloud and the dreams that follow are sumptuous indeed. He's still fluttering just below the radar, but with some of his SoundCloud tracks drawing almost 20k views, it's only a matter of time. He's also a photographer of note, so recognize creativity is the man's oxygen. - BrokeMC
