Debut Fracture EP Available for Streaming & Download

Hardcore quartet Fracture recently shared its debut five tracks as Demo. The band instantly tears in with menacing determination. An unrelenting steamroller of concise, compact ferocity simply makes you want to burn it all down. (Obviously digging the cover art as well!)

Black Beach previews upcoming album with noisy single "Sometimes This Body Lets Me Down"

Harsh, loud, disturbing, and plenty entertaining is "Sometimes This Body Lets Me Down" the latest single from Boston post-punk rockers Black Beach. The grainy song features all the ire of bursting drums, mangled guitar riffs, and swelling vocal cords—think Black Sabbath and Rage Against the Machine in a fiery car crash. The single is a thorny preview of the band's upcoming record Tapeworm due out October 11th. Black Beach is known for its penchant for doom-laced tunes and its flirtations with grunge disruptions; the energetic single is a promise of more madness to come. We are streaming "Sometimes This Body Lets Me Down" below to agitate your weekend. - Rene Cobar

New Trash Boy LP Available for Streaming & Purchase

Trash Boy’s new full-length album, Who Will Take the Trash Out When We're Gone? (which was produced by Kyle Pulley at Headroom Studios), is now available via Good How Are You Records. Energetic, venting vignettes express frustration/agitation over daily personal, professional, and societal issues. It’s a cathartic collection of tracks with anthemic hooks. The quartet is currently scheduled to perform in Philly on a Wednesday, October 30 at Johnny Brenda’s, on a billing that also features Full Bush and Teenage Bigfoot.

Somos pay tribute to their late guitarist Phil Haggerty

We are sad to report that one of New England's own, Phil Haggerty, has passed away, the Somos guitarist was 28. The Boston-based band, heartbroken as it is, stepped up by releasing their initially fall scheduled album Prison On A Hill early. The album's proceeds went toward the family's funeral expenses, with an additional $3,000 donated to the Heather Heyer Foundation. The band's sound has always been characterized by its high-energy and no-holds-barred approach. The group's latest single "Mediterranean" is a prime example of the massive sound of Somos: string instrument swells, heavy drums, and Haggerty's electric guitar work fuel the single. Our support is with the Haggerty family and the remaining band members during this difficult time. We are streaming "Mediterranean" below. - Rene Cobar
