Ambient, banjo-lead indie rock is a descriptor that's sure to turn heads, but Luray, a band who fails to fit neatly into the hard lines of "alt-folk," really does encompass all of those elements. Pairing synths with traditional folk, the Richmond VA-based group gives bluegrass/americana a fresh face, successfully blending old with new. After a super successful first night, and an allstar line-up, Deli NYC sponsored event The Hum returns for its second week at beautifully intimate Greenpoint venue Manhattan Inn. An air of mystery and beauty permeates Samuel Proffitt's latest single Drown, off the forthcoming EP Grey Notebook.
