Thanks. free their minds on "Your World"

Thanks. blend chic electronic pop with a vintage disco treatment on "Your World." The dance trio take on a sunny disposition as they promote a message of self-empowerment, funneled through a funky blend of Madchester-informed swagger and light rock elements with a sharp pop sense.

"Your World" is out now via Highland Park Records. Juan Rodríguez

The Muckers throwback rock takes on Elsewhere 1.21

With no fear, The Muckers embrace a rock ‘n’ roll of the past: cyclical riffing, healthy doses of reverb, song structures built for guitar solos, and a taste for the slightly psychedelic. There’s something classic New York about the band too, a bit of Strokes imagery (check the floppy hair and stylized logo font) and some garage rock sensibilities. But, the problem is, The Muckers only have one recording to their name, the retro-styled “Suspended for a Long Time.” For now, you’ll have to catch the band in concert to hear more—the group’s upcoming gig at Elsewhere on January 21st will be the next opportunity. – Cameron Carr

New Track: "So Familiar" - Ceramic Animal

Strolling keys set off the psych daydream of “So Familiar,” the new single from Ceramic Animal. Trapped in a state of déjà vu, the inherent warmth of new love permeates. Floating on a cloud but already questioning the long-term ramifications/outlook, the message is mixed. Ceramic Animal is slated to appear at World Café Live on Saturday, February 17 with Sixteen Jackies and Dr. Danny.

William Matheny brings his brand of Americana to The Basement (1/24)

Nashville's William Matheny released his debut Strange Constellations in February of last year to critical acclaim. His songwriting is strong, and his style comes across like an indie rocker gone americana, bridging the gap between Ben Folds, The Avett Brothers, and Ryan Adams. Now hard at work on the road, Matheny will be gracing The Basement stage Wednesday, January 24th alongside J.P. Harris, The Country Westerns, and Richie. The show begins at 9:00 PM, and tickets are $6 in advance, $8 at the door. If you haven't made it to a show yet in 2018 (or if you have), this is one you don't want to miss. Check out Matheny's track "Living Half To Death" below!
